Hey all you Cribbers,
The October Tournament of Champions will be held on Sunday, November 6 at 6 PM. The list of eligible players is posted below. Remember, if you changed your name during the month, you will need to make sure to change it back so that it matches the list below. Also, as an extra bonus, compliments of the Webs, there will be an additional 20 tix added to the CHAMPION OF THE TOC. Hope to see some of you Champions on the 6th.

That's right, we will be holding a SPECIAL TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS for the YEAR! Everyone who took first place in a TOC during the 2022 year will qualify for the SPECIAL TOC to be held in January 2023! TWENTY=FOUR (both 1st and 2nd place) players in all 2022 montly TOC tournaments will be invited to participate in this special tournament with extra special prizes (100 EXTRA TIX). So you still have October, November and December to qualify for this tournament. Hope to see all you monthly qualifiers on November 6th for the October TOC.

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
