Show a player’s speed rating?

I think it would be really interesting to keep track of a player’s average time it took them to discard and to play their cards, and display that like you do their ratings now. I think that would be a better metric for finding compatible players. (Only thing worse than a really slow player is a really fast player that makes you feel slow!). Would that be a hard feature to add?

Good idea

Interesting idea. I also wish we could have extended stats (pegging points, crib points, points in hand) for each player (or to least our personnal stats) and also our stats against specific players.

Problem

Any speed data would be dependent on internet speed, not everyone is on or capable of getting high internet speeds. There is a logo when you are playing that displays some of the time lags, worth a look at next time you play.

gjamies1: Is this feature available on Android? I believe that you need to go on the players page to see the 'Net Delay'. I believe that it would not be displayed during the game and connection is not always stable. It's all to make it a better experience, some players prefer a fast pace, therefore they can find players with similar characteristics.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
