On Saturday, May 16 @ 4PM Eastern Standard Time -- FREE-for-all cribbage tournament paying 10 Tickets to winners!
This Cribbage Tournament is FREE -- it is open for all registered players - Ticket players and non-Ticket players.
In the tourney, a Tournament Director (TD) will help instruct new players on how to properly set the table, and also will go over tourney rules and answer any questions new players might have.
The winners of the tourney will get 10 Tickets.
Quite a few players have not yet had a chance to experience the thrill of tourney play and this will give all of you the opportunity to learn, play and possibly win some extra Tickets.
Please note that there is a limit of 40 players so if you want to join, please sign up early and be sure to be in the tourney room 10 minutes prior to start so we can go over what needs to be covered. YOU MUST BE PRESENT IN THE ROOM BY 10 MIN BEFORE 4 OR YOU WILL BE OUTED FROM THE TOURNAMENT
This is very exciting news and we (all the Tournament Directors) hope to see some of you new players in these special tournaments.
The schedule for these free tournaments is as follows:
4 : 00 PM Eastern Time Time: MUST be in the room by 10 min to 4:
GIN RUMMY....1st Saturday of each month
DOMINOES.....2nd Saturday of each month
CRIBBAGE.....3rd Saturday of each month
Backgammon...4th Saturday of each month
The signup will be available several hours prior to the tournament - on May 9.
On iPhone & Android devices, our Cribbage app lists upcoming tournaments via Menu->Tournaments.
The maximum of 4 pending tournaments is listed on top in bold lettering.
Once the tourney is listed, you can select it, see its list of participants and, (on iPhone) on the bottom, use 'Sign Up'.

I'm new here....At what time does the tournament become available to sign up for? I see tournaments in the list, but not this one.

If you go to the tourney page listing the upcoming tourneys and click on the button that says MORE TOURNAMENTS, that will show you more pending tourneys and you should be able to see the "FREE" tourney tomorrow. If you join - make sure to be in the tourney room, at a minimum, 10 minutes before start as we begin outing players who are not there. And good luck to you!

I have been to the tourneys page and the acc tourney page and only 4 are listed and then it shows completed tourneys. there is not a 'more tourneys' button that you referred to. how do I find this free tournament??

You will find the more tournaments 'button'on the tournaments page directly above the 4 tournaments that are soonest to be played. Click the down arrow on that and you will see many more tournaments, pending and completed.

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
