Rock-Paper-Skill is not quite the same kids' game

Both Rock-Paper-Skill & RPS is a mind There's a lot of skill to the game:

There are RPS Leagues playing it off-line, there are RPS strategy books, RPS nationwide and world championships.

Here's where people play it for $50K grand prize:

"Starting in January in bars all across the U.S., competitors 21 and older will have the opportunity to play the sport in a classic tournament ladder structure. In April, more than 500 finalists and their guests will be flown to The House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas to play for a grand prize of $50,000."

Additionally -- default 1-2-3 variation -- with the choice of rounds and points per round requires even more skill.

--------
"Skilled players consciously create patterns to take advantage of their opponents and win the games time and time again. In the simplistic example the relentless Avalanche (R,R,R) is a brash maneuver usually favored by A-type personalities. Lawyers and other paper-pushers historically famed for The Bureaucrat (P,P,P) while the Machiavellian-types are increasingly getting a buzz from the rising tempo of The Crescendo (P,S,R).

Sooner or later, you will be exposed to The Scissor Sandwich (P,S,P) by a sophisticated competitor online...so you might as well take the initiative and try it for yourself

And last but not least - in Las Vegas in Live RPS Tournaments, word is that Fistful Of Dollars (R,P,P) is hot and that it pays!"

There's no cards, no dice, just the mind game and...
IT'S ALL IN YOUR HANDS!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
