I would much prefer double elimination 200pt games versus 1 single elimination 250pts because you have a more of a an opportunity to play. Players love to play. Since we at home playing on our computers time is less of a factor then being at a physical tournament, so we are less likely to care if it 2hours or more. Only none domino players care about how long dominoes are played and they think everyone thinks like them inregards to how long a tournament is!

I personally like the double elim. format better . Most of these players play fast anyway so it doesnt take long. Two hours is way to long for this tourn.Time limit on table set up should take care of that.Any one that takes over 30 seconds to play is wasting everyones time

DOUBLE ELIMINATION More points favor the better players and so does double elimination. My choice will always be double elimination no matter how many points the game is. Being guaranteed at least 2 games make players believe they have gotten their money's worth. As far at the time is concerned, it does not bother me. I have been playing in tournaments for about 10 years now. Land based tournaments last 4-6 hours. Player don't mind waiting when they feel they are being given a fair shot and especially a second shot at winning. DOUBLE ELIMINATION-DOUBLE ELIMINATIN (Was I supposed to say that twice?)

I like the double elimination. Most players play fast and the time limit on table set up should take care of too long of a tournament. 200 points is good. Bigger the prize money the better.

I prefer double elimination over single because in case the player looses the first game because of a bad hand it gives him a second chance to demonstrate his or her domino skills and may be another chance to make it to the top.

I prefer the double elimination over the one game format. No tournament on here should last 2 hours, even with 30 or 40 players...

I prefer the double elimination over the one game. It gives the players their monies worth. 2 hours is not too long for a tournament...

I prefer double elimination, because anyone can get a road map hand, and win one game.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
